DNV E690, NV E690-Z35 steel plate for Jackup’s Tooth usage

1. Applicable scope
This technology conditions apply to NV E690-Z35 quenched and tempered steel plate which thickness is 152.4mm. It stipulates the size, shape, weight and tolerance allowance, technical requirements, test method, package, marking and mill test certificate etc.
2. Allowable Tolerance
2.1 The tolerance of thickness: -0.3~+3.0mm
2.2 The tolerance of width: 0~+20.0mm
2.3 The tolerance of length: 0~+50.0mm
2.4 The straightness requirements: longitudinal≤3mm/m, Full length≤6mm, Full length distortion≤4mm; Crosswise≤2mm/m and ≤4mm/2m, Full width≤4mm. 3. Technical requirements
3.1 Chemical composition (Heat analysis)
3.2 Smelting process: The steel is fine grain calm steel by electric furnace +LF/VD
3.3 Delivery condition: quenched and tempered
3.4 Mechanical properties
5. Surface quality should conform to DNV Rules.
6. Ultrasonic test
The steel plates should be 100% test by ASTM A578 Class C
7. Inspection rules, inspection items and test methods
7.1 The steel plates should be inspected by each batch.
8. The test of mechanical properties should be qualified by DNV and supply DNV certificate. 9. Marking and Mill test certificate
9.1 The marking and technical conditions in MTC should be DNV.
9.2 The mill test certificate should comply with EN10204:2004-3.2
10. The others conform to DNV Rules Parameter The chemical composition (heat analysis) should be accordance with table 1wt, %
