What is the chemical composition of ASTM A588 steel?

ASTM A588 steel is a high-strength low-alloy structural steel, divided into 4 grades: A588GrA, A588GrB, A588GrC, A588GrK. ASTM A588 steel plates are used for welding, riveting and bolt connection structures, but are mainly used for welding bridges and buildings that require weight reduction or extended life. ASTM A588 steel has better atmospheric corrosion resistance than carbon structural steels with or without copper in most environments. When completely exposed to the atmosphere, this steel is suitable for many occasions in the bare state, limited materials The thickness is not greater than 200mm.

ASTM A588 steel plates can be left unpainted making it ideal application including bridges, buildings, and other structures.
