What is the S30C structural steel?

JISG4051 S30C steel is a model with a transmission rate of ψ(%)≥50. The steel is a fully static steel manufactured by the electric furnace, open hearth or pure oxygen converter steelmaking method, with extremely high wear resistance and toughness, uniform metallographic structure, and excellent processing performance. S30C has higher strength and hardenability than 30# steel, medium weldability, medium cold deformation, medium plasticity, and good machinability. It is generally used in a normalized state to manufacture bolts, nuts, levers and work under high stress.

Characteristics of S30C carbon junction steel plate:

Compared with low-carbon steel, S30C structural steel has higher strength and hardness, better toughness, and good weldability. Most of this steel is used in a normalized state, and it can also be quenched and tempered. Purpose: Suitable for using hot forging, hot pressing and cutting addition methods to manufacture parts with small cross-sections and low stress, working temperature ≤150℃, such as screw rods, tie rods, shaft keys, rings, gears, sleeves, etc.; Good cutting performance, widely used in bolts, screws, etc. processed on automatic machine tools; also suitable for manufacturing parts and welded parts that require cold upsetting; and can also be used for parts such as carburizing and carbonitriding.
