Heat Treatment and Applications of A537 Steel

A537 steel plate is heat-treated carbon-magnesium-silicon container plate, which implements ASTM standards. There are three grades of A537 steel plate, namely A537 Cl1, A537 CL2 and A537 Cl3.

Heat treatment of A537 steel plate:
(1) A537 Cl1 steel plate is applied to normalizing treatment;
(2) A537 Cl2 and A537 CL3 steel plates should be quenched and tempered.
(3) The temperature of tempering for A537 Cl2 steel plate should not be lower than 595, and temperature of tempering for A537 CL3 steel plate should be more than 0.5h.

Application of A537 steel plate:
A537 steel plate is mainly used in coal mine and chemical industry, spherical pot manufacturing, etc. It's Widely used in petroleum, chemical, station, boiler and other industries, which is often used in fractionation, spherical tanks, oil tanks, liquid tanks, nuclear reactor pressure shells, boiler steam drums, chemical petroleum cylinders, high pressure water pipes in hydropower stations, water turbines Shell and other equipment and components.
