SA387 Gr91 steel plate for nuclear power plant

SA387 Gr91 steel plate is steel used in large nuclear power plants, and can also be used in other places in general. It can prevent hydrogen embrittlement, hydrogen corrosion, hydrogen stripping, and sulfide corrosion in medium temperature (350-480℃) hydrogen environment, and has good low temper embrittlement. SA387 Gr91 steel plate is widely used in chemical manufacturing, petrochemical and thermal power plant equipment manufacturing, such as ammonia synthesis reactors, coal gasifiers, shift furnaces and hydrogenation reactors.

SA387 Gr91 steel plate characteristics: SA387 grade 91 steel is equivalent to 10Cr9Mo1VNbN, not only has high oxidation resistance and high temperature steam corrosion resistance, but also has good impact toughness and high and stable durable plasticity and thermal strength properties. When the service temperature is lower than 620℃, its allowable stress is higher than that of austenitic stainless steel. Above 550℃, the recommended design allowable stress is about twice that of T9 and 2.25Cr-1Mo steel.

SA387 Gr91 steel plate chemical composition:
C: 0.08-0.12, Mn: 0.30-0.6, Si:≤ 0.5, Cr: 8.0-9.5, Mo: 0.85-1.05, S:≤0.01, P:≤0.02, Nb: 0.06-0.1, V: 0.18-0.25, Al:≤0.04
Mechanical properties of SA387 Gr91 steel plate:
Tensile strength≥585MPa
Yield strength ≥415MPa
Elongation ≥20%

SA387 Gr91 steel plate features: It is used to manufacture equipment that resists sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, formic acid and acetic acid, and has good resistance to intergranular corrosion.

SA387 Gr91 steel can be used as high temperature superheater and reheater steel pipe with wall temperature ≤625 in subcritical and supercritical boilers, as well as high temperature header and steam pipeline with wall temperature ≤600, as well as nuclear power heat exchanger and oil cracking unit furnace tube.
