API 5L GrB pipeline steel chemical composition and delivery status

Pipeline steel refers to the steel with special requirements for the transportation of oil and natural gas pipelines.

Among the API 5L GrB steel plates: Grade B is the steel grade: Grade B steel, the API 5L standard is implemented, the domestic standard corresponding to the API 5L standard is the GB/T9711 standard, and the B grade is the L245 material.

Chemical composition of API 5L GrB steel sheet:
C: ≤0.28, Mn: ≤1.20, P: ≤0.030, S: ≤0.030, Cu: ≤0.50
Ni: ≤0.50, Cr: ≤0.50, Mo: ≤0.15
*Unless otherwise agreed, V+Nb: ≤0.06
*V+Nb+Ti: ≤0.15
*For every 0.01% decrease in carbon content, manganese content can be increased by 0.05%, up to a maximum of 1.65%

Mechanical properties of API 5L GrB steel plate:
Non-proportional elongation strength RP0.2 (MPa): 485-605
Tensile strength RM (MPa): ≥570
Elongation A (%): ≥18

API 5L GrB steel sheet TMCP rolled for delivery. It is used to make special steel plates for oil and natural gas pipelines.
