How is the seamlessness of A53 steel pipe formed?

The seamlessness of A53 steel pipe is mainly accomplished by tension reduction, which is a continuous rolling process of hollow base metal without mandrel.

Under the condition of ensuring the welding quality of A53 parent pipe, the welding pipe tension reducing process is to heat the A53 welded pipe as a whole to above 950 degrees Celsius, and then roll A53 steel pipe into various outer diameters through a tension reducing machine (a total of 24 passes in the tension reducing machine). Compared with A53 finished steel pipe with wall thickness, the A53 hot-rolled steel pipe produced by this process is essentially different from ordinary high-frequency welded pipe. After being heated by a heating furnace, the metallographic structure and mechanical properties of the A53 weld and the parent body can be completely.

In addition, through multi-pass tension reducer rolling and automatic control, the dimensional accuracy of A53 steel pipes (especially the roundness and wall thickness accuracy of the pipe body) is better than that of similar seamless pipes.
