Introduction of 38CrMoAl nitrided steel

38CrMoAl is a nitriding steel. 38CrMoAl steel has high nitriding properties and mechanical properties, good heat resistance and corrosion resistance. After nitriding, it can obtain high surface hardness, high fatigue strength and good resistance to overheating. High temperature working temperature can reach 500℃, but it has low plasticity and low hardenability during cold deformation. It is generally used after quenching and tempering and nitriding.

38CrMoAl nitrided steel application:
38CrMoAl steel is used to manufacture various small-sized nitrided parts with high fatigue strength, high wear resistance, precise dimensions and high strength after heat treatment, such as imitations, cylinder liners, gears, high-pressure valves, boring bars, worms, grinders spindles, threaded rods, precision screws and gears, worms, high-pressure valves, valve stems, imitations, rollers, templates, governors of steam turbines, etc.

Four properties of 38CrMoAl steel:
Mechanical properties: strength, hardness, plasticity, fatigue, impact toughness.
Chemical properties: corrosion resistance, high temperature oxidation.
Physical properties: density, melting point, thermal expansion, magnetic properties, electrical conductivity.

Converter/electric furnace steelmaking—LF furnace refining→VD furnace vacuum degassing—continuous casting/die casting/electroslag—cleaning and heating—rolling—flaw detection—heat treatment—steel plate finishing—sampling—performance inspection.
