Pressure vessel steel 15CrMoR features and use

15CrMoR is a steel for pressure vessels, which belongs to a kind of medium-temperature hydrogen-resistant steel. 15CrMoR steel adds alloy elements such as Cr and Mo to low-carbon steel, which greatly improves the comprehensive performance of the steel. Pressure vessel steel 15CrMoR has good high temperature mechanical properties, high temperature oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, good toughness, process performance and weldability.

The corresponding grades of 15CrMoR are SA387Gr12CL2, 1Cr-0.5Mo. Pressure vessel steel 15CrMoR is widely used in the manufacture of petrochemical, coal conversion, nuclear power, steam turbine cylinder blocks, thermal power and other large equipment with harsh operating conditions and complex corrosive media.

Pressure vessel steel 15CrMoR manufacturing method:
①15CrMoR steel is smelted by oxygen converter or electric furnace, and should be refined outside the furnace.
②The Yasuo ratio of 15CrMoR continuous casting billet and steel ingot shall not be less than 3; the compression ratio of electroslag remelting billet shall not be less than 2.
