SA516 Gr70N SA516 Gr415 steel plate characteristics and use

SA516 Gr70N steel plate meets the requirements of (ASME) ASTMA516/A516M specification, and fully meets the needs of oil and gas with high content of sulfur and hydrogen, reduces sulfur and hydrogen corrosion, reduces equipment maintenance, and increases equipment service life. The SA516 Gr70N steel plate has the following characteristics: good impact resistance, small temperature deformation, good welding function, good fatigue resistance, good anti-lamellar spalling function, micro-alloying, high purity, low carbon equivalent and strong resistance to sulfur and hydrogen. The tensile strength of SA516 Gr70 is 70 thousand pounds per square inch, which is what we usually call greater than 482. The main element content is C Mn Si , and P, S manipulation determines its function.

SA516 Gr415 pressure vessel steel plate application range: widely used in petroleum, chemical, power station, boiler and other industries, used to make reactors, heat exchangers, separators, spherical tanks, oil and gas tanks, liquefied gas tanks, nuclear power reactor pressure shells, boiler steam equipment and components such as bags, liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, high-pressure water pipes of hydropower stations, and turbine volutes. It is necessary to use steel plates for containers because the containers manufactured have to withstand different pressures and strengths. Generally, the normal pressure is 31.4MPa or higher, and the working temperature is often between -20-450, and sometimes lower than -20, depending on the work of the container. Conditions and processing technology require that the steel plate used must have excellent cold bending and welding functions, excellent plasticity and resistance, and high temperature short-term strength or long-term strength. In order to make the container withstand higher pressure and reduce the weight of the structure itself, in addition to high-quality carbon steel, the raw materials of steel plates for containers are mostly low-alloy structural steel as raw materials.
