Surface quality of A242 Type1 steel plate
The surface of the A242 Type1 steel plate shall not have cracks, knots, folded air bubble inclusions and delamination, etc., which are harmful to use. If there are any defects mentioned above, it is allowed to remove, and the depth of removal shall not exceed half of the thickness tolerance of A242 Type1 steel plate. The clearing should be smooth without edges and corners.
Surface defects of A242 Type1 steel plates shall not be eradicated laterally. Other defects that do not affect the use are allowed on the surface of the hot-rolled steel, but the minimum thickness of the A242 Type1 steel plate should be guaranteed. Slight post-color printing or localized pitting, scratches and indentations with a height greater than half the tolerance are permitted on the cold plate and belt surface. The belt is allowed to be delivered with defects, and the defective part shall not exceed 8% of the total length of the A242 Type1 steel belt.
