The use of 40Cr steel

40Cr steel has good hardness, toughness and wear resistance, and it also has certain anti-corrosion ability. In addition, 40Cr steel is easy to process and has good weldability. These properties make 40Cr steel an ideal material for manufacturing gears, shafts, bearings and other mechanical parts.

After quenching and tempering, 40Cr steel is used to manufacture mechanical parts that withstand medium loads and medium speeds, such as steering knuckles of automobiles, rear axle shafts, and gears, shafts, worms, spline shafts, top sleeves, etc. After quenching and tempering at medium temperature, it is used to manufacture high-load, impact and medium-speed parts, such as gears, main shafts, oil pump rotors, sliders and collars, etc. 40Cr steel is used to manufacture heavy-duty bearings after quenching and low-temperature tempering, low-impact and wear-resistant parts with a cross-sectional thickness of less than 25mm, such as worms, spindles, shafts, etc. 40Cr steel is used to manufacture high surface hardness and wear resistance after quenching and tempering and high-frequency quenching without parts with high impact, such as gears, sleeves, crankshafts, connecting rods, nuts, etc.

In addition, 40Cr steel is also suitable for the manufacture of various transmission parts that undergo carbonitriding treatment, such as gears and shafts with large diameter and good low temperature toughness.
